The Story of the Quonset Hut Village
Here at Silver Wings Vintage, we strive to bring you a memorable shopping experience mixed with a bit of history.
Starting with our unique building.
Our Quonset Huts were once used as Army barracks for soldiers back in World War II. The base was decommissioned in 1946. Fortunately, the Duffield Family purchased the property and the first Duffy electric boats were built here in the 1970s. Since then, everyone from surfboard shapers to wood shops to classic car enthusiasts have called the Quonset Hut Village their home.
Today the Huts make up a little village of artisans, restaurants, shops, and small businesses. We hope you enjoy shopping in our little slice of history as much as we love being here for you.
